What is the Land Registry?

The Land Registry is the live, anonymous map of every real-world square claimed in Prospectour — a free, location-based idle mining game for iPhone and Android. The playing field is the actual planet, divided into map squares a few metres across. When a player walks to a spot and claims the square they’re standing on, it appears here, coloured by the rarity they rolled. Only one player can ever own a square at a time.

How to use the map

Type your town or street into the search box to fly there. Coloured squares are already claimed by other prospectors; empty ground is still up for grabs. Tap any square to see its rarity and when it was claimed, use the 3D button to tilt the view, and tap rarity chips in the legend to filter the map.

What the colours mean

Every claim is a dice roll across eight rarity tiers. The colour of a square on this map is the rarity its owner rolled — and rarer ground mines faster:

The numbers

A square costs a flat 700 nuggets to claim until you own a thousand of them, after which the price rises by 10 for every further thousand you hold. Squares mine continuously — even while the app is closed — and hold up to 24 hours of production between collections. Squares produce gems, not nuggets, and the rarer the square the faster it mines. Gem cash-out is coming, but is not yet enabled — right now gems accumulate towards the day the vault opens.
