Prospectour Rewards Terms
These terms govern the Prospectour gift card rewards programme (the "Programme"), run by Prospectour LTD, a company registered in England and Wales. They add to our Terms of Service, and where the two differ on rewards, these terms apply.
1. What the Programme is
Prospectour is a free game. Squares of land you own earn gems over time, and the Programme lets eligible players redeem gems for a merchant gift card. It is a discretionary loyalty reward, not a payment, wage or prize, and no purchase is needed to take part.
- Gems are never sold. They are earned only by land you own, at the rates published on our economy page.
- Each square's rarity is set by chance when it is claimed, at the odds published on that page.
- Nuggets can never be redeemed, including nuggets bought in the App. Buying nuggets is never a way to obtain a gift card.
- Gems have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for cash, transferred or sold.
2. Who can redeem
- You must be 18 or over and hold an account in good standing.
- One account per person. You must have verified your email address and a mobile phone number by text message. A phone number can be verified on one account only.
- Your country is taken from the land you have claimed in the game. Rewards are currently offered in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United States, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. We may add or remove countries at any time.
3. Gift cards and limits
- Cards are merchant gift cards only, in your local currency, from the brands shown in the App for your country. We never offer cash, bank transfers, PayPal or prepaid payment cards.
- The smallest card is worth about US$5. You can redeem at most US$100 in value in any 30 days (or the local currency equivalent).
- Cards are supplied and emailed by our fulfilment partner, Giftbit, to the verified email address on your account. Each card is subject to the issuing brand's own terms, including expiry.
- Redemptions depend on our rewards budget. If it is temporarily short, the App will ask you to try later and no gems are deducted.
- Once a card has been sent it cannot be cancelled, exchanged, or turned back into gems.
4. Fraud and forfeiture
We may refuse or delay a redemption, cancel gems, and suspend or close accounts where we reasonably believe there has been fraud or abuse, including multiple accounts, GPS spoofing, emulators, bots or automation, ad or referral abuse, or false verification details. We may ask for further information before sending a card. Gems obtained through abuse are forfeited.
5. Brands
Brands shown in the Programme are not sponsors of it and do not endorse Prospectour. Amazon is not a sponsor of this promotion. All trademarks belong to their owners.
6. Changes and ending the Programme
We may change, pause or end the Programme, its limits, brands or countries. Where we can, we will give notice in the App first. Ending the Programme does not affect cards already sent. Gems are forfeited when an account is deleted.
7. Tax
You are responsible for any tax that applies to rewards you receive where you live.
